Sooooooo. Hi. It's me again. Little organizational post to help Manda keep her life straight. Also, an update on things to look forward to from this blog! :D

AUGUST 6 - Claims Day for spn_cinema! I have a fic idea for one of my favorite movies I'd like to try claiming. I've already written the opening 'scene', so there's that at least. Might also try claiming art for same film? Not sure about that yet. Might be a bit tight schedule-wise, what with wedding planning and all that jazz. [Drafts: Sept. 5; Posting: Oct. 3]

AUGUST 11 - First day in Minneapolis with non_tiembo_mala, alyndra, and other lovely SPNFamily for MINNCON!!! OMG. SUPES EXCITES.

AUGUST 28 - Claims Day for spnhorrorbang! I'm a bit wary of this one, since horror isn't actually all that much my thing... but I figured it'd be a good way to expand my drawing skills/horizons? Could be fun. Hopefully it will be. This will be art all the way for me, no fic. [Art due: Sept. 25; Posting: Oct. 1]

SEPTEMBER 1 - ART DUE for j2_reversebang!! I *just* signed up for this challenge today. I have NO idea what I want to do for it yet. But hey! I've got... almost a month?? O.o But, since I'm hoping to submit fic for spn_j2_bigbang next year (instead of art), this gives me the chance to still make art for a very similarly themed challenge. *gulp*

[SEPTEMBER 5 - drafts due for spn_cinema]

SEPTEMBER 9-12 - WEDDING WEEKEND, OMG. Um, no further explanation required? I'M GETTING FREAKING MARRIED.

[SEPTEMBER 25 - art due for spnhorrorbang]

Um... so yeah. After that it's all check-ins and then posting dates. But I think that's everything major fandom/real-life-wise that's coming up soon. I feel a bit overwhelmed. But excited? But overwhelmed. But excited! But overwhelmed. *Channels her inner jarpad*

Anyhoo, I'm off to go meet with the fiancé and the guy who will be doing lighting (!!) for our wedding. Wish me luck!

Ah, thank you!! Will you be participating in any of the challenges also? I do hope to accomplish something for them all, though it's the ones that rely on me to start the creative process (cinema and rbb) that I'm most worried about completing. I usually do better with deadlines when I'm collaborating with someone else who's already put in most of the work!! I do hope I'll manage something worthy for each though! :)

I'm signed up for the j2 reverse bang and I'm really looking forward to seeing what you and other artists come up with for that! My other challenges are all SPN. I'm doing a Sastiel challenge bc it's so not what I usually do, and I'm doing the wincest bb bc that's totally my thing. I failed the cinema one last year but might try again :)

Yeah, the really short time-frame for spncinema makes me pretty nervous, but it doesn't hurt to at least try, right? :)

Aww yis, Sastiel ;) Awesome. Also, I didn't realize there was a BB just for wincest. I suppose there are a lot more BBs and RBBs than a newbie like me has ever even heard of! lol.

And yay RBB! Gah! Must think of something to art!! *flails*

hahaha. I was just talking with gluedwithgold about how she remembers my moaning about biting off more than I could chew with BB... I think I should be okay on the art front, but that cinema fic is absolutely going to be a challenge. (Pretty sure I'm the world's slowest fic writer.) I'm going to try to not be too hard on myself though. It's all for fun, right? And, maybe, in my case, an excuse to do something other than stress about centerpieces and vows and other wedding stuff O.O
