Title: Come with Me (Is It Lonesome on the Sea)
Rating: NC-17/Explicit
Fandom: Supernatural RPF
Pairing: Jensen/Jared
Summary: Additional visuals for Come with Me (Is It Lonesome on the Sea), written by whispered_story:
He knows the uneasiness he feels at the thought of Jared being with someone right now isn't just protectiveness. It's jealousy, dark and bitter.
It's a new thing, except the more he thinks about it the more he wonders if it hadn't always been there.
Aka: Jensen and Jared have grown up together in a small seaside town. It takes Jensen entirely too long to realize he's in love with Jared

So, What's with the Random Art Post?
So basically, whispered_story (Anna) and I can't get enough of creating together. Usually that just means that she writes and I beta, but sometimes a story will especially grab me and I'll be like, "Can I pretty please make some art for this?" and she has yet to tell me no. This art post is a result of one such instance.
I just fell in love with the east-coast fishing village of Harper's Cove, with Jensen's boat restorations and Jared's magic in the kitchen at Jay's Café and everything in between. It's such a fantastic setting for this gorgeous story. I just really wanted to provide some visuals that would capture the mood of the fic.
Once I had the [ever]green light to make at least a banner, I went to one of my favorite sources on the internet: unsplash.com. I've used many images from there in past projects and this time was no exception. In fact, the photos pretty much ARE the art, so, really, I can't take much credit here at all.
All I did was play with some gorgeous photos, all which are described a bit with their proper attributions below, but which you can see in the Polaroids above.
Photograph Descriptions & Credits!
As I mentioned, all photos were found on unsplash.com. The main banner was created in Adobe Photoshop CS5.1. Fonts used are Allison Script and Javanese Text.
I found so many lovely pictures that fit the aesthetic of Anna's fic... I couldn't figure a way to really use them all? I thought maybe an aesthetic (similar to what I did for my spn_cinema art for Legally Blonde a couple years ago) but it just wasn't meshing. Then Anna had the idea of turning them into Polaroids, and since I knew that'd be really easy to do in Picasa, I just sort of played around with that in PS until I had an arrangement I liked.
The idea is that each of these photographs captures some part of Jared and Jensen's lives in Harper's Cove, whether it be one of the boats Jensen has restored, a cupcake Jared baked, or just the sights from around town.
Each picture turned into a Polaroid and text added (font: Allison Script) using Picasa 3. Images above are described from left to right, top to bottom.

That's all there really is to it! I hope you love Anna's fic as much as I did, and that you enjoyed this little extra taste of the world she created. Thanks as always for checking out these things we do! <3
