Artist's Notes: This came about thanks to my Twitter TL being filled with awesome people. Zuben often lets us know when it's an interesting "National [Holi]day", and August 8th was "National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor's Porch Day". That's just begging to have fic written about it, right? Thanks to a sort of self-feeding loop, there's now fic AND art. I'll regal you with more of the tale below, but first, you should really go read the fic!
Summary: Jensen's getting more and more aggravated at his neighbor. Can't the guy take a hint? Jensen simply doesn’t need any of the man's zucchini.

Basically, Z tweeted about the "National Sneak Some Zucchini Onto Your Neighbor's Porch Day" and commented on how that sounded like a fic prompt, which it absolutely does. Of course, for me, where there's a fic prompt, there's often also an art prompt, and I was tempted to draw something. Some super-mature giggling via witty tweets with friends later, and I, in a fit of silliness, drew the sketch below using random office supplies at work.
I'm not sure if Z was already formulating a fic in her head or if my doodle inspired her to actually write something, but either way, by the next morning she'd informed me she had over 2500 words of zucchini fic written. Needless to say, I was pretty psyched. When she asked around for a beta, I jumped at the chance... and then I decided to make a more... refined version of my art to use as a banner, which you can see at the top of this post.
So, okay, maybe not the most thrilling chain of events, but it was so fun how everything came together, and it was a delight to get to work on a fic project with Zuben (WHOM I LOVE, FTR. One of my favorite fanfic authors!). I hope you enjoy our little collaboration! ♥
