STORY SUMMARY: When Jensen starts coming to JD's, the cocktail bar where Jared works, Jared is instantly interested in him. What starts out as a one-night stand quickly becomes a casual arrangement that Jared could easily see turning into more. But Jensen isn't looking for something serious and Jared would rather settle for being friends with benefits than not having Jensen in his life at all.

Prompt Description: Bartender (and pierced & tatted) Jared.

This whole collaboration is going to sound influenced by nepotism when you hear how it all came about. Any of you who've enjoyed my art before have probably noticed that Anna and I have collaborated A Lot. In our defense, it's only been intentional...once? I think? Every other time we've just been really, really, REALLY lucky, lol. We certainly enjoy it though, so no complaints from us!

Anyhoo, I was DMing Anna on Twitter one day, trying to brainstorm ideas for what to draw for the upcoming RB season. Anna, being the ever-helpful friend that she is, made a few great suggestions, one of which was, of course, "bartender Jared".

So, yeah. I drew that.

To be fair, the idea was instantly appealing, relevant, and inspirational, which are all very good (read: motivational) qualities of a RB art idea.

And then I found this gorgeous photo by German photographer Moss from one of my favorite resources, unsplash.com and I was pretty much set. I already had an idea of how I wanted the final art to look, and this photo which I used (in pieces) for my background played a huge part in creating the feel I wanted.

You've already seen one header banner, the smaller of two which I made to fit within size guidelines for our post at the spn_reversebang LJ community. Again I used that gorgeous bar photo for the background, along with text in "Natural Script" from another favorite resource, 1001fonts.com and, surprisingly, Courier New fonts.

I then also made this larger banner using the original prompt. Because, Jared. *shrug emoji* What can you do?

I always feel like, as an RB artist, that I have to make at least a header and banner for whatever fic gets written to accompany the original art. I also, in my infinite laziness, really like it when I can use a part of that original piece like I did with the fruit and drink here.

Here, have a bonus piece of art just because I really enjoy fonts (here we have "Atomic Clock Radio" and some iteration of "Aliens & Cows") and playing around with multiple programs (most of the art was done in Corel Painter Essentials, but I did some tweaking of the font in Picasa for this bonus piece).
